Love this place for lunch! Affordable at $7-9 a dish. I have had the pho with lean brisket and meatballs.  Amazing flavor and great portions. I also love the noodle plates but have it Salad style with no noodles only when I cut back on carbs.  They are very accommodating.  The rice plates with egg on top are to die for.  Love this place!!!!

This place is pretty great!!  I love the food and staff and the prices are easy on the pocket.

The menu is quite lengthy to sift through but the staff is more than capable of helping you out.

Definitely get the pork spring rolls - make sure to get the spring rolls.  The egg rolls are slightly odd because they are not the authentic Vietnamese egg rolls you'd expect - they have a Chinese egg roll consistency to the breading.  Bun Thit Nuong is off the chain here!

The only negative to this restaurant is the lighting - it's just too invasive and blaring.

This place used to be so good, but I was disappointed on my last visit. The spring rolls were kind of hard as the rice paper had dried out. The charbroiled chicken inside the roll was a little hard and cold, as well.

I ordered a large pho with soft tendon and brisket. The meat was evenly lean, but the soup lost its savory sweet taste that I'm normally used to here. I added some chili oil and toasted garlic crumbs to accommodate the taste, but you know pho isn't good if you have to add stuff into the soup to make it taste better!

I've been coming here for years, and I think the first thing I'd recommend to anyone is their egg rolls! They're quite big and filling, very crunchy, and delicious wrapped in lettuce and dipped in the sauce provided. The egg rolls are top notch and better than the spring rolls imo. I think the pho is just okay, but their other noodle dishes are pretty good! In particular, the crispy egg noodle (#41) and pan fried noodle (#43) are some favorites among me and my friends. The portions are big and definitely will satisfy your appetite. They have XL size for pho if that's your thing too haha.

Woooweee, do I regret not visiting this longtime NW Houston establishment sooner.  I always saw it when they were located closer to the WalMart, but due to all the construction on 290, they relocated to a larger, more accommodating shopping center closer to Hollister.  I yelped for a pho place near my house + somewhere with ca kho to + egg rolls with rice paper, not egg wrapper.  I saw the mediocre ratings for this place but decided to give it a chance.  We walked in around 630 the Thursday after Xmas, and the place was pretty empty.  The staff warmly greeted us and seemed relieved that someone was there to patronize them.  The menu is extensive and has a full Vietnamese menu--not just pho or rice dishes.  I ordered the egg rolls as an appetizer and the ca kho to as an entree.  The waiter asked if I was okay if the ca kho to would take 20 minutes, which is normal, and I said yes.  I appreciated him asking, and I like that they make the fish fresh and not have it sitting already made under a heat lamp waiting to be served.  I asked for a small pho for my niece with no veggies, garnish, or meat, and they happily obliged.  When the eggrolls came out, they were piping hot, and the size of freaking burritos.  The waiter accommodated and brought my niece a non-spicy fish sauce and a spicy one for me--kudos to him for knowing that kids don't like spicy.  The eggrolls were delicious, and my niece kept working away at hers.  Her pho came out exactly as ordered, and I could smell the rich broth from a mile away.  I tasted it myself and wanted to steal her dish!  She has a small appetite but managed to eat half of the entire bowl.

The catfish I ordered was great and just as I expected--sweet, tangy, salty, and delicious.  I finished off the giant eggrolls and got the rest of my fish to go.  The staff was so nice, amiable, and really made me feel welcome to be back in Houston, even if for a short while.  I hope they do well, and I really want them to have more business.  Their prices can't be beat, and if I lived in Houston, this place would probably be my second home.
